Earplugs I use

I looked at a few different companies that make custom earplugs to combat my 32.1 misophonia. While they all were similarly prices around the 150-200$ range (500 ILS) they are not created equal.

All centers will take a mould of your ear by pushing a putty in your ear waiting for it to harden and then pull it out. One company I went to cuts the mold to size and then makes the buds. This means for new buds I would need to reputty my ears each time. Another company, 3d scans the mould and allows me to order new buds over the phone — this is my recommended method.

The earbuds are also different sizes, the 3d scanning and printed ones, are smaller, more aesthetically pleasing AND more comfortable. They are superior in every way.

I got my plugs from HaOzen. I got the musician plugs which I love to walk around with and use at weddings. I loved them so much I bought sleeping plugs which were a bit cheaper and became an invaluable accessory for travel.

I rarely say products are life changing. These plugs gave me confidence traveling, going to loud events etc. Knowing I have a 10 second solution to lower sounds by 15 or 25 decibels allows me to enjoy myself, instead of dreading the moment sound will become to much. I recommend finding plugs that look like the ones above that fit in ear and have a low profile.
